JOB SUMMARY
This position is based in Houston, TX and responsible for providing ongoing support, administration of Oracle databases and application environments. It reports directly to Global DBA Team Lead.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Within a project framework, gaining consensus from multiple groups with differing priorities.
- Maintain global, consistent approach with Finance processes and systems in business and regional areas with varying, localized needs.
- Convey understanding of Finance processes, systems functionality and/or company Finance and Accounting data to customers of varying company experience
- Estimate and coordination of IT resources needed on Finance related projects
- Provide leadership and independent initiatives in facilitating information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings to all levels of management.
- Facilitate the translation of business requirements into detailed functional requirements and work with IT to arrive at optimal solutions.
- Manage projects with varying degrees of complexity.
- Document requirements and actively participate in design, configuration, testing and deployment of Oracle Financial R12 related projects, enhancements and corrections.
- Coordinate cross functional resources required to execute projects.
- Research, analyse, recommend and execute improvements to current processes and systems.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement test plans for functional changes, bug fixes, enhancements, patches and upgrades.
- Provide production support to the business users and system processes, and ensure high level of IT service.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- At least 7 years of direct experience in these areas:
- Oracle Financial modules
- Strong functional knowledge of Oracle EBS release R12
- Strong project management skills including the ability to balance multiple priorities with aggressive timelines and budget initiatives
- Implementing and supporting functional processes and technical design in an Oracle environment
- Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple concurrent activities
- Strong MS Office software experience
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills

Under direct supervision, participates in development, testing, documentation and maintenance of simple software application programs. This individual will probably need direct supervision and will not comfortable with developing on their own. Primarily this individual will perform maintenance on existing software. Specific work assignments are made and scheduled by a more experienced Software Engineer or project leader.

Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline or through 4 years of software development experience. This is a Software Testing position in the Production Enhancement Technical Software group. In this role you will test interactions across complex software applications for use in the oil and gas industry by using your knowledge of well, drilling and Fracture planning. Your primary responsibilities will be supporting and coordinating with Landmark Decision Desktop team to integrate with PE realtime service, while performing some elements of software testing. The role of software testing includes: manual and automated testing, test design and planning, defect management, estimating testing efforts and creating test plans. You will work closely with Product Owners and Decision Desktop team to advise on product improvements based on previous releases, customer feedback and industry knowledge. Finally, you will be the POC (Point of Contact) for non-domain testers as it relates to test design. This position will give you an opportunity to work with onshore and offshore team members.Additional Responsibilities include:Conduct verification testing; design and implement complex test cases and provide input in developing the test strategy for products; perform code coverage analysis; assist in the execution and validation of existing scripts and provide further test script development; assist testers in designing and coding new scripts.
